Farmhouse products

The products of the farmhouse Sovigliano are all healthy and genuine. The crops are not treated with pesticides so the quantity of the products is limited. In Sovigliano is privileged the quality instead of the quantity.
The farmhouse is proud to propose to the guests the result of its production:

- Chianti Colli Fiorentini IGP, red wine, the production of our Chianti is characterized by a taste generous and rigorous, never the same (every year has its peculiarity). Beautiful red ruby colour, intense and full-bodied red wine, lightly tannic. Perfect to be matched with roasts, game, seasoned cheese, grilled meat or with fish “ al cartoccio”.

- Extra Virgin Olive oil, we press the olives with the traditional cold tecniques “a freddo” so the organoleptic characteristics remain unaltered and the oil retains its perfumes. Sovigliano olive oil is not filtered in order to mantain its natural taste and colour.

- Vin Santo, 10 or 15 years old on average, aged in little casks of chestnut or oak called “caratelli”. The taste is velvety but very dry, perfect with dried sweet and seasoned cheeses, but also good for fruit salads or as refined aperitif.

- Grappa and Nocino ( walnut liqueur ) obtained with the marc of our Chianti grapes, expertly distilled to guarantee diversity of taste whilst retaining a high level of quality.

- Aspretti di Frutta: vinegars of excellence, made with the fruits grown in the farmhouse, distilled and treated to become unusual vinegars. The flavours available are chianti grapes, peaches and plums.
